This is a Vintage 1962 Gibson J-45 in very good condition. There are finish check and small dings throughput as can be seen in the photos, and the original non desirable adjustable bridge was replaced, but there are no structural issues at all. Silver Street, Inc. was incorporated in June 1979, started by Bruce and Craig Hardy. Apparantly it was named after the street where Bruce Hardy lived at the time. Bruce Hardy designed the Taxi Guitar in 1981 featuring a full scale, and shipped with a gig bag that allowed it to be transported in a NY City taxi. The Taxi's innovative design was the subject of a U.S. patent application filed in 1981, granted in 1983. Five prototypes were built by legendary luthier Richard Schneider, who was a Gibson guitar consultant at the time. Production of solid-body guitars started in 1983, and ended by 1986.
