Silver Street Taxi Electric Travel Guitar
Silver Street, Inc. was incorporated in June 1979, started by Bruce and Craig Hardy. Apparantly it was named after the street where Bruce Hardy lived at the time. Bruce Hardy designed the Taxi Guitar in 1981 featuring a full scale, and shipped with a gig bag that allowed it to be transported in a NY City taxi. The Taxi's innovative design was the subject of a U.S. patent application filed in 1981, granted in 1983. Five prototypes were built by legendary luthier Richard Schneider, who was a Gibson guitar consultant at the time. Production of solid-body guitars started in 1983, and ended by 1986. A bit of history about the Taxi model. The first guitar made for Tommy Shaw was in "Pepto Bismol" Pink, and later a Tommy Shaw model ws built. Guitar who played the Taxi include Paul Warren fomr Prism, Mike Reno from Loverboy, Michael Stanley, Chris Hayes of Huey Lewis and the News, Craig Chaquico of Jefferson Starship, and Rick Springfield who bought three and actually used one on an MTV video. G&L SB-1 Bass Swamp Ash Body Premier Blonde Translucent Finish
When Leo Fender launched the G&L SB-1 bass in 1982, he packed his latest innovations in pickup and bridge design into a straightforward, hard-working bass. At that time the SB-1 had an MFD single coil pickup and no pickguard, which was a departure from the classic single-pickup passive bass. By 1985, however, the SB-1 had taken the form it has today, with an MFD split-coil humbucking pickup and pickguard. In some way, the SB-1 set the stage for several G&L models to come: Leo took a a classic design and applied his core improvements, in this case, the MFD pickup and Saddle Lock bridge Learn More$0.00Out of stock

Taylor K24ce-LTD All Koa Limited with ES2 Electronics #67004
Within Taylor standard line, the K24ce is a favorite of the Koa Series, blending the stunning tonal and aesthetic appeal of an all-solid koa body with the comfort and versatility of the Grand Auditorium body shape. This limited edition showcases an alternative package of wood-rich appointments, including the floating kelp-inspired koa and boxwood Ocean Vine fretboard inlay scheme, with figured maple binding and rosette. Tonally, the koa top levels out a lively strumming attack to produce to a clear, focused voice with top-end chime. Perhaps the best part: the longer you play it, the better it sounds. And with the onboard ES2 electronics, you can count on natural-sounding amplified tone whenever the time is right. Learn More$0.00Out of stock
