This is a Custom Shop Martin 00-42 we spec'd out at Winter NAMM. Here's a little background for you.

Winter NAMM 2013 Martin decided to bring along about fifty sets of Premium Madagascar Rosewood suitable for 45 series guitars and let dealers hand pick sets for customs. Knowing it would be first come first served I was at the Martin Booth as soon as they let me in, and in no time I was examining sets Madi with Danny Brown from the Custom Shop. After tapping and listening to every set on the table, a process that took about forty minutes, I set aside two sets as "the ones". As Danny was marking the sets with LA Guitar Sales he noted that I picked two sets from the same tree. Sure enough the two sets not only sounded the same but looked the same as well. As it turns out Danny and I did an amazing job because this guitar is possibly the most resonant 00 I have ever played, and I have played many. Who ever ends up with this guitar will be quite pleased.
