Details
In 1933, Martin made, at the request of the then famous country & western star Gene Autry, its first D-45. Perhaps, the most famous '45 ever made, it now stands in the Autry Western heritage Museum in CA. In 1994, Martin released a very successful limited replica edition. Like the original, features a 12 fret neck with slotted peghead. The label is signed by both Gene Autry and C.F. Martin IV and numbers the guitar as 30 out of 66 made. There were 2 versions, one with the signature at the 12th fret and the other with original bold signature along the length of the fingerboard, which is what we have here. It features amazing Brazilian rosewood back and sides, and master grade spruce top, fossilized ivory bridge pins and end pin. This Guitars was collector owned and is in excellent, as-new condition. Comes with the original black leather hard shell case.
