One of only 200 made, each of these limited-edition Grand Auditorium models boasts boldly unique visual character, thanks to the striking sets of blackheart sassafras selected for the back and sides. The blond heartwood is naturally accented by contrasting olive, black and chestnut-brown coloration. Musically, sassafras blends the midrange warmth of mahogany, the top-end sparkle of rosewood,and the clarity of maple into a player-reflective voice that responds well to the nuances of a player’s attack. The Lutz spruce top and V-Class® bracing bring impressive power, sustain and dynamic range to the sound. Noteworthy appointments include rosewood binding and back strip, maple/black/Douglas fir herringbone top edge trim, a Douglas fir herringbone rosette, “Reflections” fretboard/peghead inlays in pale green abalone, a gloss-finish body and Taylor smoked nickel tuners.
