The vintage appointments include a spruce VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction giving it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. The look is unlike anything in our production line with European flamed maple binding (on the body, fingerboard, and headplate), stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and an ornate torch logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Raines Master Hand Carved Custom Made Archtop. The Master Series archtops are custom made in Austin,Texas and they are among the best in the world. Completely hand carved from the finest tone woods, with no CNC machines used on the bodies or necks. Full specs are as follows: Top - Premium Adirondack Back, Sides and Neck - Flamed Maple Fretboard - Ebony Scale - 25" Nut Width - 1-3/4" Bridge Spacing - 2-1/8" Condition is excellent, with what appears to be a finish crack at the neck and a ding at the lower bout. Excellent for finger style but can handle a flat pick quite nicely, it's an amazing 00. We added Vintage Varnish finish with a slight distressed look, with subtle gold burst to jazz up the look, and premium Gotoh tuners to make sure you stay in tune. We based this Custom Shop Martin on the discontinued Vintage series 0-28VS and we've been ordering it for LA Guitar Sales ever since that model was dropped. We changed the neck to modified low oval with 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing which translates to a more versatile and more playable acoustic for most folks.
