Pre-OwnedBreedlove Crossover 00 BLK A-Style Mandolin
A crossover instrument for guitar players looking to expand their skills. The Breedlove Crossover OO Mandolin is designed to be the go-to instrument for guitarists wishing to add depth to their repertoire by learning to play the mandolin. This carved, solid-top mandolin features a wider nut width and a radiused fretboard inspired by the Breedlove Custom Shop for exceptional comfort and playability at an affordable price. This is the optimal instrument for guitar players looking to expand their skills by picking up the mandolin. Body Shape The Breedlove O body is an elegant rendition of the traditional teardrop "A" body shape that has typified mandolin style from Celtic to bluegrass. Woods The solid, carved Sitka spruce top is complimented by the carved maple back and sides -- a timeless combination that produces exceptional resonance, projection and musicality. Neck The semi-gloss finish on this handcrafted neck provides the most comfortable and fastest playing neck possible by preventing hand binding from the sticky texture of a full-gloss finish. Fretboard and Nut Width The radiused rosewood fretboard is optimized for comfort and playability, and the 1-3/16" nut width provides wider string spacing for faster, easier chording. Soundhole The oval hole provides a rich, full voice that blends well with other instruments in a band or ensemble. Aesthetic Elements The semi-gloss black finish on this mandolin is contrasted by an ivory binding at the top and back body. The binding provides protection for the instrument and highlights the elegant dimensions of the mandolin. Set-Up and Quality Assurance in Bend, Oregon USA Breedlove's comprehensive quality control process provides the player with an instrument that will play great right out of the box. Prior to shipment, every Breedlove instrument undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection in Bend, Oregon by their expert U.S. quality control team. They start with a visual inspection: they check aesthetic and structural elements of the body and all components for flaws. Next, each guitar is tuned and undergoes a play test, where craftspeople check nut height, relief, action, and string height. Based on the results of the play test, they then adjust for maximum playability. Next, each instrument is buffed and polished by hand with painstaking attention to detail. Once the instrument has passed inspection, a signed QC sticker is placed, and the instrument is carefully packed and shipped. Features Body: Breedlove O Soundhole: O Top: Solid, carved Sitka spruce Back and Sides: Carved maple Neck: Maple with semi-gloss finish Body Finish: Semi-gloss - Black Nut Width: Bone 1-3/16 Fingerboard: Radiused East Indian rosewood Peghead Veneer: Rosewood Binding: Ivoroid Bridge: Rosewood Tuners: Nickel with black buttons Condition is excellent. One of only a handful ever made, the Pallet guitar by Bob Taylor was originally conceived to prove to the world that a great guitar builder can build an outstanding instrument regardless of the wood used. To prove this, Bob Taylor went to the back of the Taylor factory and proceeded to tear apart a few of the shipping pallets on the ground, and built himself a guitar using the weathered oak, and pine (or whatever the soft wood is on pallets) that these things are made of. SoldGurian 3H-S3R With K&K Mini Pickup
This is a 1980 Gurian 3H-S3R. Gurian Guitars was a manufacturer of high quality acoustic guitars based in New York City, then Hinsdale, New Hampshire and finally West Swanzey, New Hampshire, from the 1960s to 1981. The guitars were designed by luthier Michael Gurian who also supervised production. The company was one of the earliest "boutique" guitar brands in the United States, offering an alternative product to those of the larger, factory-based makers of the day, with instruments characterized by a distinctive shape, features and sound. The S3R is a mid-sized instrument with plenty of power, brilliance and sustain. This size is quite versatile, an excellent choice for solo or accompaniment. The Size 3 model has become a favorite for recording work thanks to it's balanced tone. The 3H was a higher grade version of the standard S3R featuring 3-piece back, herringbone inlay on the top, back and sides gold plated Schaller tuners.
