We based this Custom Shop Martin on the discontinued Vintage series 0-28VS and we've been ordering it for LA Guitar Sales ever since that model was dropped. We changed the neck to modified low oval with 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing which translates to a more versatile and more playable acoustic for most folks. This is another custom Taylor that we put together on our last visit to the Taylor factory where we were presented with some amazing "off menu" wood sets like the Zebrano featured on this guitar. For those of you not familiar with Zebrano (also known as Zebra wood) it's about the same density as Rosewood with very similar tonal characteristics but to my ear it has a bit more clarity and projection.
