The blond heartwood is naturally accented by contrasting olive, black and chestnut-brown coloration. Musically, sassafras blends the midrange warmth of mahogany, the top-end sparkle of rosewood,and the clarity of maple into a player-reflective voice that responds well to the nuances of a player’s attack. The Lutz spruce top and V-Class® bracing bring impressive power, sustain and dynamic range to the sound. Noteworthy appointments include rosewood binding and back strip, maple/black/Douglas fir herringbone top edge trim, a Douglas fir herringbone rosette, “Reflections” fretboard/peghead inlays in pale green abalone, a gloss-finish body and Taylor smoked nickel tuners.
