Made from 2002 to 2004, the Martin CEO-5 was a special edition D-12 style dreadnought with bearclaw Sitka spruce top. Both bridge and fingerboard were striped ebony. Martin CEO C.F. Martin IV asked the Acoustic Guitar Magazine Discussion Group for their design ideas and the resulting guitar was named as the CEO's choice. The interior paper label was signed by C.F. Martin IV. We based this Custom Shop Martin on the discontinued Vintage series 000-28VS but changed the neck to modified low oval with 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing which translates to a more versatile and more playable acoustic for most folks. This auditorium style guitar is tastefully designed with a clean aesthetic and is available with and without a sunburst top. The model was inspired by a combination of Brooke's favorite aspects of Martin's Paul Simon and Eric Clapton Custom Artist models that are part of Brooke's collection. Personalized features on this model includes a simple wreath pattern inlay on the headstock, and Brooke's signature inlayed on the twentieth fret.
