The 000-28 Modern Deluxe is a new take on Martin Vintage. This guitar is packed with custom features and modern technology that you have to see, feel, and hear for yourself. The vintage appointments include a Sitka spruce Vintage Tone System (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction that give it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. The look is unlike anything in our production line to date with European flamed maple binding, stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and a unique 1930s style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Some ultra-modern features include a titanium truss rod, Liquidmetal® bridge pins with red dots, and a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate that boosts volume without adding weight. Designed with Chris Martin, the CEO-7 is a "00" slope shouldered short scale reminiscent of models from the "Golden Era", with a gorgeous Autumn Sunset Burst finish,Golden Age Relic Nickel 2517 tuners with cream plastic buttons, and authentic headplate lettering. Providing you with a nice booming sound is a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid ebony fretboard complimented by solid mahogany back and sides for complex tonality. We based this Custom Shop Martin on the discontinued Vintage series 00-28VS but changed the neck to modified low oval with 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing which translates to a more versatile and more playable acoustic for most folks. That along with premium Waverly tuners, premium woods throughout and a nice light construction mean this guitar looks and sounds as good as it plays. Learn More
