Martin 7-28 1980:
Price: Sold
Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent
Description: This is a 1980 Martin model 7-28 featuring gorgeous fully bound Rosewood back and sides, select Spruce soundboard, one-piece Mahogany neck, and rich dark Ebony fretboard and bridge.

This is a 7/8th size dreadnaught body with a scale of 23", nut width is 1-10/16", depth at the heel is 4-5/16", and overall length is 36-3/4" so it‘s about the size of one of the ¾ size travel guitars. But make no mistake, although this guitar would make an ideal travel companion, this is not a travel guitar. This guitar has a full, rich, and balanced sound that’s well beyond what one would expect from a smaller acoustic guitar, and it’s a joy to play. The neck is a narrow modified V-shape, with low action. Currently it wears lights but for heavy strumming we would recommend switching to mediums.

The size 7 from Martin was short lived with only about 200 pieces ever made, and most folks who own them, keep them. This one is in excellent plus condition with only tiny handling marks and no structural issues at all. It comes with the original, specially made just for this model, Martin “steel me” case.
