  15. Guild Starfire SF-4 1997
    Sold

    Guild Starfire SF-4 1997

The double cutaway Starfire series was introduced in late 1963 beginning with the Starfire IV and Starfire V. The Starfire VI followed in 1964. These guitars were made to capture part of the market that was almost exclusively enjoyed by the Gibson ES series guitars. Like the Gibson ES-335, the Starfire IV has a center block of wood that runs from the neck to the tail and is glued to the top and back. This reduces feedback and increases sustain. Up through 1967 the neck was joined to the body at the 16th fret. After 1967, the neck-to-body joint was moved to the 18th fret to facilitate better access to the upper registers. Learn More

  18. Gurian 3H-S3R With K&K Mini Pickup
    Sold

Gurian 3H-S3R With K&K Mini Pickup

This is a 1980 Gurian 3H-S3R. Gurian Guitars was a manufacturer of high quality acoustic guitars based in New York City, then Hinsdale, New Hampshire and finally West Swanzey, New Hampshire, from the 1960s to 1981. The guitars were designed by luthier Michael Gurian who also supervised production. The company was one of the earliest "boutique" guitar brands in the United States, offering an alternative product to those of the larger, factory-based makers of the day, with instruments characterized by a distinctive shape, features and sound. The S3R is a mid-sized instrument with plenty of power, brilliance and sustain. This size is quite versatile, an excellent choice for solo or accompaniment. The Size 3 model has become a favorite for recording work thanks to it's balanced tone. The 3H was a higher grade version of the standard S3R featuring 3-piece back, herringbone inlay on the top, back and sides gold plated Schaller tuners. Specs are as follows: Top Wood: Sitka spruce Back and sides: East Indian Rosewood Binding: Maple Rosette: Herrinbone OAL Length: 41" Body length: 19.5" Upper bout: 12" Waist: 10.5" Lower bout: 15.25" Maximum depth: 4" Scale: 25.7" Nut width: 1 19/32" Saddle Spacing: 2.25" Electronics: K&K Mini Condition is excellent with a few handling marks here and there but no issues to mention. 22. Huss & Dalton Crossroads 14-Fret Mahogany Spruce 00 With K&K Mini and Case
    Sold

Huss & Dalton Crossroads 14-Fret Mahogany Spruce 00 With K&K Mini and Case

This is a pre-onwed Huss & Dalton Crossroads 14-fret in excellent condition - Think of the Crossroads guitar as a smaller DS Crossroads. The tonal balance is similar, and its volume doesn't suffer much from being caged in a smaller body. You may find that the Crossroads makes a more convenient traveling companion than its DS Crossroads big brother. The Crossroads comes standard in Sitka/mahogany, with the dark sunburst and unpurfled crème binding present a no-frills look, perfect for the unpretentious player who prefers to let the music attract the attention. The Crossroads is also a shade deeper in the body than the 0, 00, and 000 series, creating a guitar with perhaps a bit bassier presence. Light gauge strings can bring out the best of the lightly braced top, though the Crossroads can handle mediums Learn More
