The 000-42 Modern Deluxe is a new take on Martin Vintage. This guitar is packed with custom features and modern technology that you have to see, feel, and hear for yourself. The vintage appointments include a Sitka spruce VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction, giving it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. The look is unlike anything in our production line with European flamed maple binding (on the body, fingerboard, and headplate), stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and an ornate torch logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Some ultra-modern features include Liquidmetal® bridge pins with abalone dots and a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate that boosts volume, and a new neck shape that is slightly asymmetrical for maximum hand comfort up and down the fretboard. We based this Custom Shop Martin on the discontinued Vintage series 0-28VS and we've been ordering it for LA Guitar Sales ever since that model was dropped. We changed the neck to modified low oval with 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing which translates to a more versatile and more playable acoustic for most folks. That along with premium woods throughout, Waverly tuners and a nice light construction mean this guitar looks and sounds as good as it plays. Learn More

This Custom Shop Martin is based on the vintage 000 models with 12-frets free of the slightly longer body which provides more resonance and a fuller overall tone. Additionally this guitar features select wood sets throughout, gorgeous 42 series abalone inlays and modern neck with 1-3/4" nut combined with 2-1/4" saddle spacing so it plays as good as it looks and sounds.
