Gibson Byrdland Thinline Hollow Body:
Price: Sold
Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent
Description: In the mid-1950's, Gibson's search for a middle ground between full-size hollowbodies and smaller (but heavier) solid bodies lead to the creation of the Thinline Series of guitars. The vanguard of this new Series was the Byrdland, brainchild of Nashville session cats Billy Byrd and Hank Garland. Roughly patterned after the L-5, the Byrdland was notable not only for its thin body, but also for its shorter scale length and thinner neck, which facilitated faster runs and extended chord shapes.

This is a 2005 Gibson Byrdland in gorgeous natural gloss finish.
