Taylor Baby Mahogany Top Vintage 2000 US Made With Hard Case: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellen Description: This is a vintage 2000 Baby Taylor made right here in the USA before they moved production of these fine little guitars over to Mexico. This guitar features gorgeous solid Mahogany soundboard and neck, Ebony fretboard and bridge, and laminated Mahogany back and sides for durability. Scale is 22.9in, and nut width is 1-11/16in. Originally designed by Bob Taylor as a child's first guitar, the Baby quickly found favor with dad's (and moms) looking for a quality travel guitar that was small enough to go just about anywhere, including the overhead compartment of an airplane. This is a fourth year production made in the Taylor factory by the same guys who made all the other models. I have not had a chance to check out one of the current Mexican Baby Taylor‘s, but I do know that these discontinued US made Baby‘s are just outstanding instruments with great setup, quality tuners, and a sound much bigger than you would expect from a 3/4 size guitar. Of course, to collectors and anyone who hates to see jobs leave the US these original Baby Taylor's will always be the best ones. This one in in excellent condition with just some small handling marks that come from normal use. There are no structural issues at all, frets are perfect and the neck is straight with factory action. In addition, this one comes with the original, and long out of production deluxe Baby Taylor hard shell case.
