Mostly known for giving Bob Taylor his start in the guitar business, and more recently for his outstanding Go Travel guitars, Sam has also been building custom guitars in sizes ranging from small 3/4 size Parlor guitars up to 00 size models like this one called the Legacy. Specs for the Legacy are as follows; Body length: 18-3/8 Lower bout:14-3/4 Waist: 9-1/4 Upper bout: 11-1/2", Depth at tail block: 4" Overall length: 39 Scale" 25-5/16 Nut width: 1-3/4 This one was ordered with Honduran Rosewood back and sides, select Spruce soundboard, one-piece Mahogany neck, Flamed Maple binding, fretboard and bridge are gorgeous Pau Ferro, and as an extra bonus it has been fitted with a K&K Pure Western pickup. The soundboard has a paper thin high gloss finish and the rest of the guitar wears a hand rubbed French Polish which looks amazing. Condition is mint, and of course it come with Sam's top-shelf Geib style case shown which is also mint. Currently Sam's Legacy Models start out at a reasonable $1700 new with standard Walnut body and without electronics, with the usual handmade guitar lead time. This version with K&K pickup and Honduran Rosewood body would be above $2000 today. If you don't like waiting, and like to save a few buck when ever you can than you can't go wrong with this mint, pre-owned specimen.
