Description: This is an early 1997 (first year production) Baby Taylor featuring gorgeous solid Spruce soundboard, Mahogany neck, Ebony fretboard and bridge, and laminated Mahogany back and sides for durability.

Originally designed by Bob Taylor as a child’s first guitar, the Baby quickly found favor with dad’s and mom’s looking for a quality travel guitar that was small enough to go just about anywhere, including the overhead compartment of an airplane.

This one was made when they still made them in the Taylor factory by the same guys who made all the other models. Later Taylor built a separate facility just for the Baby, and in 2006 they started building them in Mexico. I’m sure the current Mexican Baby’s are fine, but to most of us collectors these original US made Baby Taylor’s will always be the best. This one in in outstanding condition with only a few small and shallow dings from normal use. There are absolutely no structural issues at all, neck is straight and frets are perfect, and unlike current Baby's, this one comes with the original Taylor Baby hard shell case shown.
