Ibanez GB10 Vintage 1995: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent Description: This is a vintage 1995 Ibanez GB10 George Benson signature model with original deluxe arch top case made in the original Japanese factory. Introduced in 1978, the Ibanez George Benson GB10 model was the first artist model in the company's history, and remains the longest running to date. Truly an exceptional guitar worthy of one of the finest guitarist ever to pick up a guitar, the GB-10 is a gorgeous and sweet-toned hollow-body featuring solid carved spruce top, gorgeous Birdseye maple back and sides, and bound f-holes. The Maple neck features the George Benson neck shape, with rich dark ebony fretboard medium frets for easier note bending, and the George Benson Special pickups which were designed specifically for hollow-body guitars played at high volume. Gorgeous headstock and fretboard inlays and the distinctive tailpiece really dress this guitar up. In 1997 the production of this model was moved to Korea but quality was not what Ibanez and guitarist were used to so after a few years production was moved back to Japan. Current GB10’s retail for $3500 with a low street price of $2600. Although the current version is an outstanding instrument, many collectors feel these older, original versions are superior. This guitar is all original with no issues at all. It has been played but only shows very minor handling marks. The original case is also in excellent condition and is included.
