Larrivee Satin Parlor: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent Description: This is a discontinued 01 Larrivee Parlor made in Larrivee’s Canadian shop before they moved production of these awesome little guitars to California. For those of you that are not familiar with this model, it's a true 3/4 size Parlor guitar, not to be confused with similar sized travel guitars. This guitar features hand carved forward shifted X-bracing, hand fitted dovetail neck joint, all solid wood construction with select Spruce soundboard, gorgeous Mahogany back and sides, one-piece Mahogany neck, and the fretboard and bridge are rich dark Ebony. The scale is 24" and the nut width is 1-3/4" so its an easy guitar to play, and perfectly suited for finger style, but it does handle a flat-pick very well. This guitar is in excellent condition with no issues to report and comes with the original case shown. These are not being made anymore with the satin finish, and many of us who have played them all feel that the thinner finish on these discontinued Satin Parlors make for a bit more responsive guitar. In addition, current Larrivee Parlors with the thicker high-gloss finish have a retail price of $1550 so we think these older ones are a steal.
