Taylor 855 12-String Vintage 1988 Made in Santee California: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Very Good Description: This is a vintage 1988 Taylor 855 12-string made in their Santee California shop. This awesome 12-string features select spruce soundboard, one piece Mahogany neck, gorgeous Rosewood back and sides, and Ebony fretboard and bridge. Back in 1988 Taylor guitars were mostly handmade with hand cut braces and hand shaped ultra thin necks. These low profile necks along with an excellent factory setup make playing this older 12-strings as easy as some 6-string models. This guitar is not only easy to play, it sounds amazing! With crisp clean highs, and rich bottom end you would be hard pressed to find a better 12-string at any price. Condition is outstanding! It has been played for the last 20 years and does show some light dings and scuffs, but there are no structural issues at all, and the action is as low as the day it left Bob Taylor’s shop.
