Thompson T1: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Very Good Description: This is a late 90’s hand built Ted Thompson Model T1 Grand Concert featuring gorgeous Koa back and sides, Cedar soundboard, Mahogany neck, Ebony fretboard and bridge, with Maple binding throughout the entire guitar. The scale is 25.5in and the nut width is 1-3/4in. This guitar is very lightly built and is extremely responsive with a rich and balanced sound. This one suffered two hairline cracks at some point which were expertly repaired and can barely bee seen now. In addition there is a small wood chip at the heel of the neck which also was repaired an is barely noticeable. There are no other issues to mention, and the guitar is in gorgeous shape with little sign of play wear. Ted Thompson builds about a hundred guitars a year out of his small shop in British Columbia with attention to detail that is hard to find even at guitars priced at twice his $3300 asking price. (The Koa back and sides on this one were a $600 option) This is an amazing instrument. Comes with original hard-shell case shown.
