Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Model: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent Description: This is a recent Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton model featuring select Rosewood back and sides with Herringbone trim, Spruce soundboard with aging toner, one-piece mahogany neck, short 24.9" scale, and 1-3/4" nut width. The fretboard and bridge are both rich dark Ebony, and the tuners are Martins vintage style open back. This guitar is all original except for the gorgeous Greven pickguard. Please note that this Clapton model was one of the last ones to leave the Martin factory with a one-piece solid Mahogany neck. Current 000-28ec’s will get either "select hardwood" for the neck or unsightly "wings" on either side of the headstock. (Please see our inset picture of a current Clapton headstock.) Solid Mahogany necks are now a $400 up-charge from Martin but custom changes are not done on signature models. Condition of this guitar is excellent and if not for a small amount of fret wear, a few very small marks here and there, and 3/4in scratch on the back we would call it mint. Comes with top-of-the-line Martin Geib case in excellent condition.
