Go Guitars Go Walnut: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent Description: You are probably thinking what in the heck is this thing? Well, to my ear it’s the absolute best sounding backpacking guitar you can buy. I have been experimenting with small guitars ever since I got one of the first Martin Backpackers available, but was less than happy with the sound and more importantly the playability. I think I may have tried all the better ones out there and the Go Guitar has them all beat. It features all solid woods, this one has Walnut body, and Mahogany neck. The action is set low, the nut is a comfortable 1 3/4in and the scale is a full 25in so it plays like a real guitar. The sound is sort of small, but very clear and balanced and it’s plenty loud to entertain a small group of friends around the campfire. This guitar was hand built by Sam Radding, the guy who gave Bob Taylor his start back in the seventies so it’s really more of a custom guitar. Workmanship is outstanding on these. This one has very little signs of use, and no structural issues at all. Does not come with a case but there are many good choices out there depending on your need..
