Breedlove Master Class CM Walnut: Price: Sold Used/New: Used     Condition: Excellent Description: As most of you know, Breedlove guitars are not only some of the finest sounding acoustic guitars available, but they are amazing works of art. This is a special order CM Walnut made with solid Walnut for the body and solid Walnut for the neck. The fretboard and asymmetrical bridge are made of rich black Ebony, binding on the neck, body, and sound-hole is deep red Bloodwood, rosette is abalone, and the fretboard is adorned with seagull in flight at the fifth fret, and a Mermaid and dolphin at the 12th. The pictures really don’t do this work justice. The CM is the Breedlove original asymmetrical concert body that serves as the flagship for the Breedlove Guitars. As all of the Master Class Breedloves, this one features scalloped bracing, graduated top thickness, and the JLD Bridge Truss System. The bracing is deeply scalloped on the bass side and further stiffened on the treble side with great balance in the midrange. The graduated top thickness, thin on the bass side and thickening on the treble side, allows the guitar to more fully resonant . The final piece of the bracing system is the JLD Bridge Truss System. This device is a small cedar post that attaches under the bridge and has a dowel rod that rests against the tail block inside the body. Acting as a cantilever to counteract the string tension exerted on the top, use of the Bridge Truss System results in superior top strength and lightness, thus, increasing the resonance and sustain of the instrument. A pin-less bridge translates into a direct transfer of energy from the strings to the top of the guitar through the saddle. This guitar plays like a dream, and sounds even better. At first it sounds a bit subdued due to the Walnut top, but once you play it for a few minutes it will start to "warm up" and really comes alive, and at this point you realize the Steve Henderson knows a thing or two about building a guitar. Condition is near mint with only a few sings of being handled. Comes with deluxe Bleedlove case.
