Hi folks, welcome back to the scoop. We have tons of news so lets get to it.

First off we are proud to announce that Taylor and Santa Cruz guitars are coming to LA Guitar Sales and you should be seeing the first models in our store and on our website by mid February. As with our other brands you will be assured of competitive pricing and a healthy selection of guitars in stock. Stay tuned for more info.

Composite Acoustics
Folks, on March 2nd we received some very sad news from the vice president of sales over at Composite Acoustics, we were told that CA Guitars has decided to close the factory with no plans to reopen at a future date, and no plans to try and sell the business. All production has stopped so no more guitars will be coming out of the factory. Considering the popularity of the line we were obviously shocked to hear this decision. We can only hope that somehow something will happen to get these outstanding guitars back in production, but at this point it does not look good, so if you are a current owner of a CA guitar I suggest you hold on to it.

CA's RAW models have been flying off the shelf so they decided to add another model, the GXi to the RAW family. The GXi RAW will carry a list price of $1998 with an MAP of $1299. We will have these for you by mid February.

Rainsong
In addition to offering both the Concert Series and Black Ice guitars in the Dreadnaught and OM models, they've developed a new line called the Hybrid Series. These guitars look and feel just like the standard models but feature a glass composite covered by carbon fiber which allows them to offer these new model at a more competitive price point. The HS series is available in Dreadnaught, WS grand auditorium, and OM orchestra models. We expect our first shipment in February and are taking orders now so please email or call me for prices.

Blackbird Guitars
We met with Joe Luttwak at winter NAMM and wrote him a check for three guitars but it seems our markup is to low for Joe so our dealer status is in limbo. If you want to be able to buy Blackbird guitars from us at our usual discount pricing please contact Blackbird guitars by phone at (415)706-0632 or email them at joe@blackbirdguitars.com and let them know.

Voyage-air
Known for their folding acoustics, Voyage-air has now gone electric as well with four new models. I only needed to play them for five minutes before ordering every model for the store. I will have these for you at an MAP of $600 by mid February. In addition they just released a new lower priced folding acoustic dubbed the Transit Series. These new models employ the exact same patented hinge as used on all Voyage-Air guitars, on up through the $1,995 VAOM-2C Premiere Series guitar. All Transit Series guitars feature single-ply black top and back binding, and an inlaid soundhole rosette.

Two configurations are available, the VAOM-02 which is a full-size 'OM-style' guitar body, with traditional 1- ¾" nut width and 24-3/4" scale length, and the VAMD-02 which is a slightly-reduced 95%-size 'Dreadnought' guitar body. The neck and scale are still full-size, with a 1-11/16" nut width and a 24-3/4" scale length. These guitars are available right now for only $399 shipped to the lower 48.

Larrivee
Coming in February a limited number of long scale satin Parlors featuring solid Mahogany back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, one piece South American Mahogany neck, Ebony Fretboard, Herringbone rosette, Pearl logo with silver headstock border, 24 1/2" scale length. List price $1200 and MAP at $900
